HackersEra Founder & CEO Vikash Chaudhary has broken many a shackles of convention with his inspiring journey

With India having positioned itself as one of the world’s most significant startup ecosystems, the country has been witnessing new ventures every now and then. Innovations seem to be sprouting from the vast sea of prospects and talents, and each venture hopes to join the ranks of success like others. A similar enterprise born out of passion and hope and as a result of one man’s idea for a better and more secure online realm is HackersEra.

Founded in 2015, the venture was established by now 25-year-old Vikash Chaudhary , who has since inspired an entire new generation of aspiring hackers honing the craft and taking pride in it. Chaudhary identifies himself as a Cyber Security Researcher and is the main driving force behind the success of his remarkable firm over the past six years. Interestingly, it is not just his success but also story of self-building that inspires several youngsters in the country and beyond.

At the Forefront: A Journey of Belief and Dedication

Chaudhary’s firm is counted today among the leading cybersecurity advisory services worldwide, but it certainly started out small. “We began HackersEra in a little one-bedroom apartment in 2015, and have never looked back ever since,” shares Chaudhary. “I was in the second year of my Computer Engineering education when I started my company and used to deliver workshops and seminars on Ethical Hacking in various colleges. We have truly expanded significantly since then and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future.”

HackersEra boasts of a wide and varied clientele of over 500+ corporate establishments today, besides having pioneered the introduction of effective franchise practices enabling greater efficiency and value delivery for customers in a secure environment. The company has been able to add 400% more customer compared to the preceding year, which speaks of the massive escalation Chaudhary’s vision has been witnessing.

The achievements sound all the more significant when Chaudhary shares his personal journey, and his rural background. When he started out in the field, he was completely unaware of the technicalities of computers and information technology. He not just self-taught himself the details of his sector, but also self-funded his startup out of his savings and selling off his assets. Managing sales, deliveries, marketing, and technicalities all in a day’s work was no cakewalk, but Chaudhary did not stop believing in himself.

Relentlessly Working Towards a Vision

“The initial days were the toughest,” reminisces Chaudhary, talking about the lack of clients and the relentless pursuit for acquiring them for longer associations. “What I clearly had in mind, however, was a solid vision. I wanted HackersEra to reach global heights, conducting business someday with the world’s Top 20 countries. Call it manifestation or hard work, HackersEra is going to operate in at least 20 countries by 2025, and we will have offices set up in these distant locations.”

Indeed, Chaudhary’s single-person venture has today expanded to include over 30+ employees with a cumulative experience of over 100+ years! Results come ringing not just in the form of a booming geographic presence and sales figures, but also through awards and recognition. Chaudhary was honoured with the Fortune Hunters of New India 2017 presented by the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis. In 2019, he was felicitated with the ICT Rising Star Award and Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Chief Minister of Goa Shri Pramod Sawant.

Chaudhary remarks that there is no substitute to hard work and multi-tasking, despite a singular focus. “I myself work nearly 15 hours every day, no matter what day of the week it is. From generating more business to dealing with brand reputation, trust and relationship building to employee compensation, revenue, and profits, I have to have my eyes, ears, and hands everywhere. No one said entrepreneurship was easy, and yet I enjoy every bit of it.”
