Ziqitza Health Care Limited launches additional 84 ambulances to its fleet, extending its Emergency Medical Ambulance Service in India

Ziqitza Healthcare Limited – India’s one of the leading medical response service provider company has successfully served more than 6 million lives. Ziqitza operates 108 Emergency Ambulance service free of cost in association with the state government & PHSC for medical emergency service for the general public in Odisha. The Current fleet of ambulance consist of 518 vehicles covering all 30 districts in the state, that includes 456 “Basic Life support” (BLS), 56 “Advance life Support” (ALS) and 6 boat ambulances. In order to continuously improve the reach of the ambulance in the state, additional 84 ambulances have been launched on 1st January 2020. to 27 districts has been made to improve the Response Time & bring down the number of Cancelled Calls due to non-availability of Ambulances for various reasons.

The state government and Ziqitza Health Care Ltd. (ZHL) had signed an agreement on to provide free ambulance service in the state. Currently 108 emergency and Janani Express ambulance service are available in all 30 districts of the state through a fleet size of 1012 ambulances. A centralized Call Centre has been set-up in Bhubaneswar city. The ambulances are strategically located in the operational district in such a way that the entire district can be covered within minimum time. The entire service right from a person making a call to the necessary pre-hospital care in the ambulance and taking the victim to the nearest hospital is absolutely free to every citizen of the state.

The additional 84 ambulances are being flagged off on 1st January 2021 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, the state at 11.00 AM in the premises of OSRTC. In order to further improve the performance of Emergency Ambulance Service in the State, particularly in tribal districts, and to meet the increasing demand for this service, the StateGovernment through exclusive State budget funding, have made provision for additional 84 Ambulances under the 108 fleet. Also, in the near future, it is planned to upgrade 28 BLS ambulances to ALS ambulances and roll out 47 new ALS ambulances for providing better emergency medical service to the people of the State.
