The class 11 student, arrested in connection with the murder of seven-year-old Ryan International School student Pradyuman Thakur, had googled for various types of poisons before carrying out the crime, the CBI probe revealed.

According to media reports, when the investigation team scrolled through the browsing history of the accused on his laptop and mobile phone, they saw that he had also searched for ways to remove fingerprints from a murder weapon.

According to sources, the accused threw the murder weapon—a knife he had purchased from a shop—in the commode of the toilet where he committed the crime.

It has also come to light that the accused had no trouble convincing the murdered boy to come to the toilet as he knew Pradyuman personally. Media reports revealed that the two used to attend piano classes together.

According to sources, the accused revealed that after reaching the school on the day of murder—September 8—he left his school bag in the classroom, and asked Pradyuman to accompany him to the toilet. The accused was in possession of the knife he had purchased from the market. He slit Pradyuman's throat and after the first cut, the seven-year-old vomitted blood and fell on the knife.

Meanwhile, the father of teenager had alleged that the CBI was torturing his son, which was strongly refuted by the agency.

Talking to media, father of the accused said, "My son is being tortured. He was hung upside down and brutally thrashed. He is completely innocent. Only one parents-teachers meet (PTM) had happened till now and all teachers had praised my son's performance and behaviour."
