President Ram Nath Kovind, on Saturday, appointed five new governors and one lieutenant governor with Admiral (Retd) Devendra Kumar Joshi being appointed as the lierutenant governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Brig (Dr) B.D. Mishra (Retd) took over as the governor of Arunachal Pradesh. Banwarilal Purohit was appointed as the governor of Tamil Nadu and Satya Pal Malik the governor of Bihar.
Professor Jagdish Mukhi was appointed the governor of Assam and Ganga Prasad the governor of Meghalaya.
