Gurugram, Oct 31 (PTI) Four vehicles collided on Golf Course Road in Gurugram’s DLF Phase-2 area leaving a cab overturned and its driver injured, police said on Saturday.
The impact, which occurred late Friday night, was so severe that the cab overturned and skidded along the road, while all the airbags in another car were deployed, they said.
The accident occurred around 11.15 pm when vehicles travelling from the Golf Course Road connecting stretch towards DLF Phase-2 were moving at high speed. One vehicle allegedly lost control and collided with others, resulting in four vehicles being involved in the crash, police said.
The cab driver was trapped inside the overturned vehicle. Passersby and other motorists pulled him out and alerted the police, they said.
A police team reached the spot and arranged for the injured driver to be taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The damaged vehicles were later removed with the help of a crane, allowing traffic to return to normal, police said.
“The actual cause of the accident will be determined on the basis of CCTV footage and other evidence. Further action will be taken in accordance with the findings of the investigation,” a senior police officer said.
