Chennai, Jul 24 (PTI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has undergone an angiogram procedure and no blocks were found in blood vessels, senior DMK leader and Minister Duraimurugan said here on Thursday.
In a medical bulletin, the hospital where he is being treated said the chief minister is doing well and that he would resume his routine in two days.
Duraimurugan told reporters that the chief minister is doing well and not even a small block was found during the performance of the procedure by doctors.
"He is fine," the DMK leader said, adding the timing of discharge would be informed by the doctors.
In a medical bulletin, Apollo Hospitals said the chief minister is doing well and that he would resume his routine in two days.
By performing several diagnostic tests, it was found that the giddiness was only due to some variations in the heartbeat.
As per expert advise, a procedure was performed on Thursday morning to correct it.
The outcome of the angiogram procedure, which was also performed today, was also normal, the hospital added.
Stalin was admitted on July 21 after he experienced giddiness during his routine morning walk.
He continued to discharge his official work from the hospital for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. He reviewed the ongoing 'Ungaludan Stalin' (Stalin with you) campaign.
The campaign is to take government services to the people and redress grievances by organising special camps in their neighbourhoods.
