Ramgarh, Jul 7 (PTI) A police case was lodged against four senior officers of the Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL) in connection with the mine collapse in Jharkhand's Ramgarh district, in which four people were killed, an official said on Monday.
    The officers were accused of negligence, leading to the incident, he said.
    "The administration has filed an FIR against the CCL general manager of the Kuju area, project officer, manager and security officer of the Karma mines project," Ramgarh's Deputy Commissioner Faiz Aq Ahmed Mumtaz told PTI.
    Four people were killed and four others injured after part of the abandoned coal mine collapsed during illegal mining in Mahua Tungri in the Kuju outpost area in the early hours of Saturday.
    The case was lodged at the Kuju police outpost after Mandu circle officer Vimal Kumar Singh filed a written complaint against the four officers, accusing them of negligence.
    Action will be taken against the CCL officers after an investigation, police said.
    The CCL could not be reached for a statement.
