Bodies of 20-year-old man 18-year-old woman found hanging from tree in UP's Kushinagar

Kushinagar (UP), Jul 2 (PTI) The bodies of a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were found hanging from a tree in a village here on Wednesday, police said.
    The incident happened at Parsauni village of Kushinagar district, they said.
    Villagers, who spotted the bodies on a tree in the middle of sugarcane fields, alerted police and the families of the deceased, they added.
    A team from Tamkuhiraj station visited the spot and inspected the scene.
    Station House Officer Sushil Kumar Shukla said that the deceased -- identified as Rahul Nishad, son of Asharfi Nishad, and Aansu, daughter or Ramdev Kushwaha -- were neighbours.
    The deaths have raised multiple questions, and the police are investigating both the murder and suicide angles, he said.
    "The bodies were found at around 5 am. Both were hanging from the same tree, with their knees touching the ground. Blood stains were found near the youth's body, and the girl had a deep injury mark on her head," SHO Shukla told reporters.
    He added that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
    "We are examining all evidence and questioning local residents," the officer said, adding that adequate police presence has been deployed in the area to maintain law and order.
