Constable missing since Jun 11 found dead on Ghatkopar skywalk was addicted to liquor says cops

Mumbai, Jun 20 (PTI) A missing constable was found dead on a skywalk in Ghatkopar here, a police official said on Friday.
The body of Vilas Raje (54), attached to the Naigaon Local Arms (LA) unit, was found on Thursday, following which an accidental death report (ADR) was registered as there is no prima facie signs of foul play, the Pantnagar police station official said.
"He was missing since June 11. On Thursday, we received information about a man lying on the skywalk near Ghatkopar station. He was rushed to Rajawadi hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Raje lived with his family in the police lines in Ghatkopar. His kin have said he was addicted to alcohol and would leave home for days at a stretch," the official informed.
"Preliminary investigation suggests excessive alcohol consumption could be the cause of death. However, we are awaiting the post mortem report for the exact cause," the official added.
