Empowering Educators Enabling Students Macmillan Education India Partners with Microsoft Elevate India to Drive AI Literacy Aligned with NEP 2020

Noida, India –– Macmillan Education India today announced the continuance of their landmark partnership with Microsoft Corporation India to advance AI literacy and digital skills among educators and secondary school students across the country. This initiative is the coming together of two giants in education and technology to work towards India’s mission of AI readiness for the youth. This collaboration was signed off in 2024 and is closely aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes technology integration at all levels of teaching and future-ready competencies in education.

The Macmillan team has already shared these courses with over 10k schools and built awareness around AI with over 15,000 educators, through webinars and online courses. Schools chose to train teachers on Basics of AI and 21 Century Learning Design. The courses have been appreciated as they equip teachers with practical knowledge and tools to integrate Artificial Intelligence into classroom teaching, fostering innovation and improving learning outcomes.

In partnership with Microsoft, Macmillan has also released Artificial Intelligence Books for grades 9 and 10, aligned with CBSE’s Skill Course (Code 417) curriculum needs; these AI-themed educational books are designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, ethical considerations, and real-world applications. Microsoft certified courses are mapped to the curriculum to build employability, the books are powered by Copilot to personalize learning for students.

This programme initiative is running nationwide, with customized training being held in select schools which have adopted our coding programme Emerging Tech Stars with which educators will gain access to Microsoft’s AI resources and Macmillan’s curated content, ensuring a holistic approach to AI education.
