Ratlam, Jun 27 (PTI) The Regional Industry Skill and Employment (RISE) conclave held in Ratlam on Friday attracted investment proposals worth Rs 30,402 crore and these will generate employment for 35,520 persons, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said.
The aim is to ensure Ratlam emerges as an industrial hub not only of Madhya Pradesh but the entire nation, Yadav added.
"During the conclave, investment proposals worth Rs 30,402 crore were received. These which will generate 35,520 jobs. During the conclave, financial assistance of Rs 694 crore was provided to 1020 industrial units. Besides, inauguration and foundation stone laying of 147 units with an investment of Rs 1674 took place. They will provide jobs to 3,787 persons," he told reporters.
Among the prominent investors are SRF with a proposal to invest Rs 9,200 crore in Ratlam, Jakson Group (Solar) promising Rs 6000 crore in Maksi-Shajapur area, Oriana Power planning to invest Rs 5000 crore in Ratlam/Mohasa Babai area and Ostwal Group giving a Rs 5000 crore plan for Jhabua district, an official said.
Yadav said the foundation stone was also laid for a new 80.26 hectare industrial area in Semri Kankad in Mandsaur district at a cost of Rs 61.26 crore.
"On the occasion, the MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) department allotted 54 hectare land to 538 industrial units. An MoU was also inked between MSME department and Walmart for providing market access," Yadav said.
Yadav said MSME units will get subsidy to establish renewable energy plants, while six village panchayats will get Rs 50 lakh each for infrastructure development in Ratlam district, where a Mega Investment Region is being developed.
An international standard astro-turf hockey facility will come up at Ratlam Polo Ground, the CM said.
"An airstrip will be constructed in Ratlam and a satellite town will be built for the development of Kalika Mata Complex. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many programmes are being held in MP every month along with the Investor Summit to promote industry and employment," Yadav said.
Ratlam has good connectivity and one can reach Mumbai and Delhi from here in six hours by train, and air cargo services will come up in the coming years, he said.
Discussions have been held with the Maharashtra government to start facilities for MP traders at the port, Yadav said.
Asserting that even the smallest investor is important for the government, Yadav said "factories are like temples of God".
