Defeating Marin Cilic 6-2, 6-7(5), 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 in the finals, Roger Federer lived up to his name as an undeniable legend in the sport. The 36-year-old now has several records to his name. He became the third man after Novak Djokovic and Roy Emerson to win six Australian Open titles.
Federer, 36, became the second oldest man to win the Australian Open after Ken Rosewall won the title at 38, in 1972. It has been 14 years since he won his first Australian Open title in Melbourne.
