Amid escalating Middle East tensions following US-Israeli strikes on Iran, Trump Tower received a suspicious package on Monday. The timing of the delivery prompted an immediate response from the NYPD bomb squad and the US Secret Service, disrupting traffic across Midtown Manhattan.
However, no evacuations or injuries were reported on the site.
According to the police, a 911 call was received around 4:20 pm ET after the Secret Service located the package in the building's mail room at 725 Fifth Avenue.
The bomb squad were dispatched to investigate and secure the area.
Later, the authorities determined that the package was not a threat.

Videos on social media showed multiple police vehicles, fire trucks and tactical officers stationed outside the Fifth Avenue skyscraper.
"Police Activity: Expect traffic delays, road closures, mass transit disruptions & emergency personnel near 5th Avenue & West 56th Street, Manhattan. Avoid the area," New York City's emergency notification system posted on X.
US law enforcement agencies remained on high alert amid the ongoing geopolitical tensions involving Iran.
Anti-war protesters were reported outside the tower on Monday evening as well.
Meanwhile, no arrests were made linked to the incident. Authorities are yet to release more details about the package.
