Former US president Joe Biden has been diagnosed with aggressive and advanced prostate cancer, just four months after leaving the White House. Now, MAGA backers have slammed his White House physician Kevin O'Connor for allegedly covering up his cancer diagnosis ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
According to reports, Biden's diagnosis was revealed during an examination after he complained of increasing urinary symptoms. Doctors found a "small nodule" on his prostate following which further evaluation was carried out during a physical exam last week, read a statement released by Biden's personal office.
The statement added that Biden's cancer was characterised by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone. However, the doctors said the cancer seems to be hormone-sensitive that could allow effective management.

But doctors and some right-wing commentators have called out O'Connor for declaring Biden "completely fit for the presidency" and even alleged that the doctor covered up Biden's cancer diagnosis.
Physician-scientist Dr Steven Quay said prostate cancer is the easiest to diagnose when it starts and "for even the most aggressive form, it a 5-7 year journey without treatment before it becomes metastatic. "Meaning, it would be malpractice for this patient to show up and be first diagnosed with metastatic disease in May 2025," Dr Quay wrote. "It is highly likely he was carrying a diagnosis of prostate cancer throughout his White House tenure and the American people were uninformed."

Sharing Dr Quay's X post, Donald Trump Jr wrote, "What I want to know is how did Dr. Jill Biden miss stage five metastatic cancer or is this yet another coverup???"
Columnist and YouTuber Benny Johnson pointed out that "advanced" prostate cancer takes more than a decade to develop and it can be diagnosed easily from a simple blood test or prostate exam. He asked how the "best doctors and testing on earth" could not detect Biden’s cancer

Another MAGA supporter, Mila Joy, Dr O'Connor should be summoned by the Congress to explain his "lies" and called for his licence to be revoked. "He HARMED the American people. It's treason. Lock him up (sic)," she added.
