At least five people have been injured in a stabbing incident in Amsterdam on Thursday. According to police, one person has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The motive behind the attack is unknown.
Police cordoned off the area and multiple ambulances have responded to the event.
Police said an investigation is underway.
According to De Telegraaf, witnesses described hearing a chilling scream and people running in different ways in confusion.
Amsterdam mayor Femke Halsema left a council debate due to the incident.
