Allegation of another image being altered by the princess comes at the heels of revelations that the image she released on Mother's Day (March 10) was doctored. The Mother's Day image was released amid various conspiracy theories surrounding Middleton's whereabouts when she wasn't seen post abdominal surgery.

The Mother's Day picture was pulled back and Kate and William's Twitter profile apologised for posting a doctored photo. The picture released with the aim of laying to rest rumours surrounding her disappearance simply backfired. When Kate underwent surgery, the Palace had made it clear that she would resume her public duties only after April 17 after Easter.

Rumour mills went haywire spinning tales absurd tales regarding her whereabouts, including a speculation that said that Kate was in an induced coma and another one that said that her marriage with Prince William was in trouble after the latter's affair with her friend, Lady Rose Hanbury, Marchioness of Cholmondeley.
