Author and filmmaker Anurag Minus Verma shared one such reaction on his Twitter handle on Thursday. Verma tweeted he had to show the vaccination certificate to gain entry to a Blues club in Manhattan, New York. He wrote “American gentleman who was checking it was totally amazed by the Modi picture in the certificate...”
The American, who appears to be associated with the club, said Indians laugh when they are told the photo on the vaccination certificate does not look like them.
He is heard saying with shock “The who? the who?” when people tell him that is the image of the prime minister. Joking about Indians who come to the club, the man pointed to a vaccine certificate on a phone and said “This guy is one of my best customers... he comes five times a night.” The man ended by saying “It was pleasure meeting you, Mr Covid.”
