The government leadership and PTI have decided to incite violence in Islamabad on Sunday when the National Assembly will vote on a no-confidence motion against PM Imran Khan, Senior Journalist of Geo News Hamid Mir claims. Mir said on a television show that sources informed him that leadership will try to stop the Opposition lawmakers from exiting the parliament lodges and entering the lower house.

The Prime Minister had urged PTI supporters to protest peacefully for two days—today and tomorrow. However, the sources have informed Mir that whether the lawmakers enter the assembly or outside, they will be beaten.

According to the Islamabad Capital Territory administration, everything is in place to conduct a smooth vote of no-confidence in the National Assembly and all roads leading to the Red Zone have been sealed. On Friday, amid threats of ‘assassination,’ the PM’s security detail had been beefed up. This move was made after two leaders from the PTI said that there was a conspiracy to assassinate PM Khan. Khan had also alleged ‘foreign interference’ to oust him.

The spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s House has denied reports that violence will be used to stop the vote of no-confidence. The spokesperson further said that PM Imran Khan believed in democratic processes and he would never indulge in any undemocratic activities, The News reported.
