Several news organisations, including CNN and AP, have declared that Joe Biden has won the US presidential elections.
“Joe Biden will be the 46th president of the United States, CNN projects, after a victory in Pennsylvania puts the Scranton-born Democrat over 270,” a tweet from the CNN's Twitter handle read.
Biden won the Pennsylvania's 20 electoral votes to march past the 270-mark to become the 46th president of the United States, reported CNN.
Declaring the victory of Biden, AP tweeted: “The Associated Press declares Joe Biden the winner of a grueling campaign for the American presidency. He will lead a polarized nation through a historic collision of health, economic and social crises.”
"With his projected victory, Joe Biden becomes the oldest man ever elected to the White House," the BBC reported.
With the victory of Biden, Kamala Harris will be the first woman and the first person of colour to become the vice president of America.
