In a video that is doing the rounds on the internet, a taxi driver can be seen throwing out a passenger suspected to be infected with coronavirus. The outbreak of the deadly coronavirus has gripped China in fear as no cure has been discovered. While many have decided to stay indoors out of fear, others are venturing out of their homes in extreme caution. The epidemic has gotten the public in a fear frenxy.

In the video, a taxi driver is seen picking up a young male passenger who has got a face mask on. Another passenger was already sitting in the back seat without a face mask. The young passenger then coughs  prompting the driver to ask him where he is from. The passenger replies that he is from Baoding, but the taxi driver confronts saying his accent doesn't sound like that of a person from there. He then asks him whether he is from Wuhan. The passenger replies that he just got back from there and that he needs to go to the hospital. The taxi driver immediately asks him to get off the cab and the passenger leaves.

The video has gone viral on the internet with many having divided opinions. While one half has criticized the taxi driver for being heartless, many have criticized the passenger for not informing the taxi driver before he got into the cab. Considering there was another passenger in the back seat without a mask, it may have been irresponsible for the affected passenger to board without giving a warning

The virus has taken the lives of 132 people so far with over 1,200 people in critical condition in mainland China.
