When Juli Briskman, a Virginia-based cyclist flipped the President by showing him the finger in July 2017, she lost her job with a government contractor. She had raised her middle finger as she passed US President Donald Trump's motorcade.

The image went viral after Briskman set it as her profile picture on her social media accounts. The single mother won more than 52% of the vote to be elected district representative in Loudoun County, Virginia. She won a seat on a county board of supervisors in Virginia on Tuesday. Briskman had been active in local politics before.

Briskman flipped off the president after he had just finished a round of golf at his course in Potomac Falls, when his motorcade neared Briskman, who, from the seat of her bicycle, kept her finger raised as the black SUVs passed. After she lost her job with a government contractor, she sued the company and won a severance claim. She then signed up to work at polling stations in the 2017 state elections.
