Pakistan PM Imran Khan is expected to address the nation with regards to the current state of affairs in the Indian occupied state of Kashmir. In the address, which will be aired at 5.30 pm, Khan will talk about the territory where Indian PM Narendra Modi imposed a curfew since August 5 to suppress protest against abrogation of Article 370. Political and local leaders have been detained to ensure order post the move. Kashmir has been in a state of clampdown since August 5.

Khan in a bid to get international involvement to resolve the Kashmir issue has contacted US President Donald Trump, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman, Malaysian PM Mahathir Mohammad in the last few days.

Pakistan has launched a diplomatic offensive against the Indian move to apprise the world community about the human rights violation in the state.

“We are hearing India media claims that some terrorists from Afghanistan have entered IOJK for terrorist activities, while others have entered India’s southern regions,” Khan tweeted.
