Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the wedding of his son, Arjun Tendulkar, who is set to tie the knot with Saaniya Chandhok, granddaughter of industrialist Ravi Ghai.
"We were honoured to invite Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji to Arjun and Saaniya’s wedding. Thank you, Modi ji, for your blessings and thoughtful advice for the young couple," the Instagram post of the cricket legend mentioned.
He also extended an invitation to President Droupadi Murmu and Home Minister Amit Shah to the wedding. As per media reports, the wedding is expected to be an intimate affair attended by close family members and friends on March 5. The couple reportedly got engaged in a private ceremony last year, which was attended only by close relatives and friends.
Arjun, who is a left-arm pacer, has played for the Mumbai Indians in five matches over two seasons and taken three wickets. His under-19 debut for India was in 2018 against Sri Lanka. Later, he made his T20 debut for Mumbai in the 2020–21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Haryana. After joining Goa in 2022, he debuted in first-class cricket in the Ranji Trophy while playing against Rajasthan.

Saaniya Chandok is the granddaughter of Mumbai-based businessman Ravi Ghai. She graduated from the London School of Economics and is a designated partner and director at Mr Paws Pet Spa & Store, a luxury pet salon in Mumbai.
