Casey Wasserman, chairman of the 2028 Olympics, has been named in the latest Epstein Files list. According to the report, Wasserman had exchanged controversially flirty messages with Epstein's chief associate and girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell. Apart from being Epstein's personal partner, Maxwell is also the only person apart from Epstein to be convicted in the case, and is serving a 20-year sentence.
Admitting the incident mentioned about him in the Epstein Files, Wasserman issued a public apology for his presence in the report. Ever since his name came up in the Epstein Files, Wasserman has been under extreme scrutiny to resign from his post as chairman for the 2028 Olympic Games, to be held in Los Angeles.
“I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell,” said Wasserman in his official statement.
"That happened “long before her horrific crimes came to light. I never had a personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. As is well documented, I went on a humanitarian trip as part of a delegation with the Clinton Foundation in 2002 on the Epstein plane. I am terribly sorry for having any association with either of them.”
Chelsea team owner Todd Boehley has also been named in the list. Apart from owning Chelsea, Boehley is also a co-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers. The report mentions two meetings that took place between Epstein and Boehley back in 2011. Of course, this was long before Boehley made his current connection with Chelsea.
Boehley isn't the only Premier League connection on view in the Epstein Files. A key investor of the Crystal Palace club, Josh Harris, has also been named in the report. However, unlike Boehley, Harris often seemed reluctant to meet Epstein, as is evident from the e-mail communications between the duo. However, the meeting eventually happened in 2014 and Harris does send an e-mail about the same.
The Epstein Files have been trending with details about various eminent possibilities across all fields coming out in varying contexsts. Last week, the US Department of Justice opted to publicize a large section of the documents related to their investigation of the deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, called the Epstein Files.
