Vaibhav Sooryavanshi put on a batting masterclass in the U19 World Cup 2026 final against England in Harare on Friday (February 6). Opting to bat, India rode on an imperious 80-ball 175 from Sooryavanshi who went berserk to decimate England's bowlers. The left-hander smaashed 15 fours and 15 sixes in his rollicking innings, breaking several records in the process.

Aaron George's early dismissal was the only blip for India who raced to 79 in the first PowerPlay with Sooryavanshi speeding away to 42(29) during that phase. Leg spinner Farhan Ahmed bore the brunt of Sooryavanshi's carnage in the middle overs, conceding 37 in two overs at one point.

Sooryavanshi's century came up off just 55 balls and there was no respite even after he reached his milestone. If anything, it only got more brutal for England as the left-hander brought up the fastest-ever List A knock of 150-plus and looked certain for a historic double century but had still done enough damage by then.
