We are three days away from the start of T20 World Cup 2026 which is co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The warm-up matches kick-started on Monday (February 2) as all the participating teams are in the process of making the final adjustments to their team combinations and strategies. Meanwhile, the associate teams could do with more sponsors and merchandise.

Namibia have received a big boost on this front with the entry of Flipkart who have agreed to be a co-sponsor for the African side in T20 World Cup 2026. The India-based e-commerce company has volunteered to step into the sponsorship space and while the exact details of this deal aren't known yet, the development is confirmed.

On Tuesday (February 3), Namibia unveiled their official jersey for the T20 World Cup and the Flipkart logo is present on either shoulder of the team shirt. While Flipkart won't be the solitary team sponsor, it is expected to take a significant chunk of sponsorship responsibility.

Flipkart are a constantly rising e-commerce firm with a current estimated valuation of $36 billion. The company's stocks have received a significant boost after the recent investments from Google and Wallmart. In such a scenario, sponsoring a World Cup team is a strategic low-risk move for the company.

Namibia are placed in Group A alongside India, Pakistan, USA and Netherlands. Two of Namibia's games (against Netherlands and India) are to be played in Delhi while the USA fixture is scheduled in Chennai. The final league game for Namibia is against Pakistan in Colombo. Namibia also have two warm-up games in Bengaluru against Scotland and India A.
