It was raining sixes at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday (January 31) as India smashed their way to a massive total of 271, the fifth-highest in T20I history. Ishan Kishan hammered a 42-ball ton while skipper Suryakumar Yadav chipped in with a furious half-century to decimate New Zealand's bowling attack.

Kishan ended on 103(43) while Suryakumar fell for 63(30) as the pair put on a fantastic stand of 137 off just 51 deliveries. Hardik Pandya then gave the perfect final flourish with a 17-ball 42 to complete a devastating batting effort from the home side. During the course of this innings, several milestones and major achievements were unlocked, including a world record by India.
