On expected lines, the Mumbai leg of Lionel Messi's GOAT India Tour went ahead without any disruptions. If the Hyderabad event was seamless, Mumbai took it a notch further in terms of the fun and galaxy of stars. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and India's football icon Sunil Chhetri were the major guests in the Mumbai leg of the GOAT India Tour.

The two guests featured in the major moments of the day. While Messi gifted his 2022 World Cup jersey to Chhetri, Tendulkar gifted his 2011 World Cup jersey to the Argentine. There were photographs aplenty, given the rare occasion that everyone got to witness with three legends together at the same place at the same time.
Thousands of fans who had gathered to catch a glimpse of Messi in Mumbai were pleased with the experience. One fan, while speaking to ANI, described the Mumbai event as 'emotional and overwhelming', and couldn't control his happiness.

"The experience was much better than I expected. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and other celebrities were also present...It was a very emotional and overwhelming experience and I don't have words to express it..."
Like in Kolkata and Hyderabad, Messi was accompanied by Luis Suarez and Rodrigo De Paul. The Mumbai leg was also graced by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who felicitated the three footballers during the event. The CM also took to his social media account on X to express his feelings about the outing.
"Legends in the House! ⽠Welcomed legendary footballers Lionel Messi, Luis SuÔrez and Rodrigo De Paul at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai as a part of Project Mahadeva." wrote Fadnavis with images of him felicitating the three footballers.
