On Sunday (December 7), vice-captain of the Indian women's team and World Cup-winner Smriti Mandhana took to Instagram to officially announce that her impending wedding with film maker-musician Palash Muchhal had been called off. In a long message posted on her Instagram story, Mandhana didn't divulge further details and requested the public to respect her privacy.
Mandhana's post comes a day after Muchhal's family had once again maintained that the wedding had only been postponed and not cancelled. The latest update from the Muchhal camp is that he is reportedly gearing up to send large scale legal notices to news agencies and social media users (Reddit and X especially) for defamation.
Palash Mucchal is planning to send legal notices to 10,000 meme pages, 25,000 Twitter accounts, 5,000 Reddit users and every news outlet he can spell. Man cheated and now thinks he can bully the entire internet into a character certificate. If he had this level of commitment in…

Ever since the wedding was postponed from its original date on November 23, the internet was buzzing with a plethora of 'Muchhal content' including posts, memes and what not. The conspiracy theories about Muchhal's possible cheating episodes first surfaced on Reddit and soon, there were screenshots shared by multiple women on social media about Muchhal's uncomfortable chats, while he was committed to Mandhana.
It must also be noted that neither Muchhal nor Mandhana have addressed these rumours officially in any way. While the star cricketer opted to keep things private, Muchhal's family had never denied these allegations and instead chose to tag these theories as 'negativity'. The one thing that Mandhana's post has clarified is that the wedding is not going to happen.

Muchhal has been subject to an overdose of trolls and abuses on social media over the last month. If anything, that is only going to increase in intensity after Mandhana's official statement. While no details are available on who are in Muchhal's legal hitlist, word is that his legal team is going all out to target each and every individual or organization that has taken a shot at his personal life.
