Amid the continued speculations over the postponed wedding of cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer-filmmaker Palash Muchhal, his sister Palak Muchhal has responded, saying the families have been through a bad phase.
"I think the families have been through a very, very tough time..." she told Filmfare. "I would just want to repeat that we would like to believe in positivity in this time and spread positivity as much as we can. And stay strong… yeah."

Smriti Mandhana was set to tie the knot with Palash Muchhl on November 23. However, the plan was abruptly changed after her father, Shrinivas Mandhana, was hospitalised in Sarvhit Hospital and Medical Research Centre in Sangli.
Later, Palash too was admitted to SRV Hospital in Mumbai where he was given an IV drip and underwent medical tests. Palak visited her brother at the hospital on November 25. At the times, she wrote on Instagram, "Due to Smriti's father's health, Smriti and Palash's wedding has been put on hold. We would request you all to respect the privacy of the families during this sensitive time."
Palaash’s mother Amita Muchhal also claimed that the weddding be postponed till Smriti's father recovers.
Meanwhile, Smriti's brother Shravan Mandhana also addressed the rumours. "I have no idea about these rumours. As of now it (the wedding) is still postponed," the Hindustan Times quoted Shravan as saying.
Both Smriti and Palash are yet to address the allegations. Smriti, however, deleted all photos and videos from her engagement and wedding-related events. However, they both posted an evil-eye emoji to their Instagram bios, raising further speculations.
Meanwhile, choreographer Nandika Dwivedi has dismissed allegations about her role in the postponed wedding. "Over the past few days, I’ve seen speculation about my involvement in a situation that has been deeply personal for other people. I want to address and clarify that the assumptions being made about me, particularly the idea that I played a role in disrupting anyone’s relationship, are simply NOT true," read the post.
Another choreographer, Gulnaaaz Khan, had also denied any role in the postponed wedding as she urged people to avoid spreading rumours.
