Indian women's team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana's Instagram account no longer has pictures/reels related to her much-anticipated wedding with filmmaker and music composer Palash Muchhal.
This comes after the star batter's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, suddenly suffered chest pain on Sunday, just hours ahead of the wedding at Sangli.
"As you know, Smriti is very close to her father. So, Smriti Mandhana has decided that until he gets well, the marriage will be indefinitely postponed," explained her manager, Tuhin Mishra.
Following the disappearance of her wedding and engagement-related posts on her Instagram page—including a viral reel in which she and her teammates were seen dancing to the song 'Samjho Ho Gaya' after her engagement—fans have speculated whether the posts were actually removed, or just hidden for the time being.
According to Dr Naman Shah, the Director of the Sarvhit Hospital, Shrinivas' "heart attack-like symptoms", called an 'angina' in medical terms, were caused by stress brought on due to a variety of reasons.
