Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko has not suffered an ACL tear or a major injury that could keep him sidelined for a long period of time, noted football journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed.
Manchester United's medical team remained “quite positive” after examining Sesko, Fabrizio Romano said. This means what he suffered during the Tottenham game was “not a super serious injury” or one that would see the Slovenian unavailable for “six, seven, or eight months,” he said.

At a time when United fans are awaiting an official medical release by the club on the 22-year-old striker's fitness, Romano dropped the reassuring claims on his 'Here We Go' podcast. While he could not predict a timeline of the Slovenian’s return, he went to the extent of confidently stating that Sesko's issue “does not look like an ACL injury, so a super long one.” United’s summer signing Sesko came off in the 88th minute of United’s 2-2 draw with Spurs in the Premier League after being challenged inside the box by Micky van de Ven. A video that dropped a couple of days earlier showed Sesko limping as he walked with protective gear wrapped around his injured knee at the Tottenham Stadium after the match.
Amorim insisted he was not concerned by Sesko's form but was worried the forward may be facing a period on the sidelines. "I'm more concerned with an injury because it's in the knee and I don't know, and we need Ben to be a better team," he said. The gaffer also hinted that if the forward will have to even sit out a month or two, a fresh signing in January is likely.

With AFCON set to begin in December, United will lose Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo to their respective national sides, and Sesko will be missed further.
