Real Madrid's chief scout has been following 17-year-old Karl for some time. He is reportedly effective both as a winger as well as an attacking midfielder.
Who is Lennart Karl?
The German teenager made his debut for Bayern's first team at the FIFA Club World Cup. At 17 years, 3 months, and 24 days, the player became the fourth-youngest debutant in the club's history. He has gradually become part of Vincent Kompany's plans, who is trying to mature the youngster as best he can.

Karl's current contract is valid until 2028, although Bayern have reportedly started working on a contract extension to ensure the prodigy remains at the Allianz Arena for at least another season. The 2008-born player has featured in 12 matches so far for the senior team, managing two goals and an assist. Out of the 12 games, the player has been brought on as a substitute 9 times, managing a total of 349 minutes on the pitch. Interestingly, Lennart Karl has not received a single yellow or red card yet in his senior career.

The 5ft 6in Karl excels in tight spaces, thanks to a low centre of gravity. Like Messi, he uses his size to his advantage: “accelerating quickly away from pressure” with excellent balance and gracefully evading pressing opponents. The left-footed teenager is most effective on the right side and loves to cut inside when not asked to play between the lines.

However, Lennart Karl is not an immediate priority for Real Madrid, defensacentral said in a report. He will remain under the radar of the club's scouts, who will track his growth and evolution before taking a call on whether he is somebody capable of handling a significant role in the Los Blancos line-up, the report said.
The availability of Endrick, Rodrygo Goes, Brahim Diaz, and Franco Mastantuano in the attacking ranks means the Spanish giants are in no hurry to bring him on board.
