ICC Champions Trophy 2025 LIVE: Virat Kohli scored his fourth ODI century against Pakistan on Sunday when the two Asian powerhouses clashed in Dubai. 'Little Master' Sachin Tendulkar, who managed five tons against Pakistan during his iconic career is the only Indian batter to have managed more centuries than Virat Kohli, records books show.

However, a handful of Pakistan batters have managed to score four centuries against India in the long history of iconic cricket rivalry between the two sides. But having managed to score the same number of hundreds from lesser games, the Indian star climbed to third position in the table.Â
Salman Butt leads the chart as he managed five tons against India in just 21 outings. Tendulkar is second to the former Pakistan opener as the Master Blaster played 67 innings against Pakistan during his illustrious career.
For the unversed, Kohli also holds the record for scoring most ODI centuries (50 until Sunday's game), having gone past Tendulkar during the 2023 World Cup semifinal against New Zealand in Mumbai.
India vs Pakistan stats: Batters with the most hundreds
Former Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik scored four centuries against India from 42 innings. Saeed Anwar, who once scored 194 runs against India, also has four centuries from 48 innings. Former Pak captain Inzamam-ul-Haq scored four hundred from 64 innings, ESPN CricInfo said.

However, Virat Kohli has surpassed them all to claim the third spot, and is only behind Butt and Tendulkar, as he reached his fourth ODI century from just 17 outings. After Sunday's knock, Kohli now averages 59.84 against Pakistan. He has scored 778 runs in all and has also managed two half-centuries apart from the four tons, the data books revealed.
Virat Kohli the run machine
For the unversed, Kohli also holds the record for scoring most ODI centuries (50), having gone past Tendulkar during the 2023 World Cup semifinal against New Zealand in Mumbai.
Earlier, Kohli became the third player to score 14,000 or more runs after former Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara (14,234) and Tendulkar (18,426). Kohli, the only active player in the "14,000 club", is also the fastest to reach the unique feat. The 36-year-old Delhi batter surpassed Tendulkar's record of reaching the landmark in 350 innings, by achieving the same in only 287 innings. Sangakkara needed 378 innings to get to the mark.
Virat Kohli needed 15 runs against Pakistan to break his former teammate's record and did so after being summoned to the crease following the dismissal of Rohit Sharma (21 from 15) in the fifth over. He reached the magic number by smashing a boundary through the covers off Haris Rauf in the 13th over of the run chase.
The Delhi batter made his debut in 2008 against Sri Lanka.
