Liverpool fans can finally relax. After weeks-long negotiations, reports suggest that authorities at Anfield have managed to renew Mohamed Salah's contract. The Egyptian winger will remain at Liverpool until 2028 under the extended deal, reports said.

There were speculations about 32-year-old Mohamed Salah's future at Liverpool after multiple contract extension talks ended inconclusively. The cash-rich Saudi Pro League (SPL) clubs have been hovering above Anfield ever since the first rounds of talks between Liverpool and Salah's camp failed.

Since his arrival from AS Roma in 2017, the "Egyptian King" has been the most important attacker, if not a player, at Liverpool. His contributions have been indispensable for Jurgen Klopp's side lifting the Premier League and Champions League.

Salah's current contract expires in June and after negotiations took longer than expected, fueling rumours of a possible move. However, Spanish media Fichajes reported that Salah is not going anywhere as he has agreed to the terms of a new contract. The signing is now only a formality that remains to be completed the report added. However, the terms of the new contract remained immediately known.
