Indian captain Rohit Sharma was caught on camera reacting angrily after a mixup between Ravindra Jadeja and Sarfaraz Khan resulted in the latter's dismissal.

A direct hit by Mark Wood cut debutant Sarfaraz Khan's innings short. Watching the development unfold from the dugout, Rohit Sharma threw his cap away and screamed, the video showed.

Sarfaraz was batting brilliantly, having scoried 62 runs from 66 balls. Before his unfortunate dismissal, the 26-year-old took the attack to the English bowlers, letting his partner Jadeja slow down. He struck a sublime 48-ball 50, the fastest on Test debut by an Indian. But his impressive innings was cut short following a run out after Jadeja, on 99, sent him back at the non-striker's end. He ended up scoring a 66-ball 62 (9x4, 1x6) in his maiden Test innings.

However, his stay in the middle was cut short by Mark Wood in the 82nd over following a mixup with Jadeja. Batting on 99, Jadeja played a shot off James Anderson towards mid-on. Jadeja wanted the single but decided to step back as he saw Wood charging at the ball. Sarfaraz too, tried to make it back to the non-striker's end but couldn't make it before Wood's throw hit the stumps.
