Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has returned to training after being sidelined for three months with a muscle injury, the club said on Wednesday.

"Our cameras at Carrington have captured images of the left-back working with the main group, in advance of Sunday's game at Everton," the club statement said.

The England left-back suffered the injury in August after appearing in Manchester United's first two Premier League games of the season.

United's second left-back option Tyrell Malacia remains unavailable due to an injury. The Dutch star missed the club's summer tour of the United States and is yet to make his comeback.

Given the situation, the Red Devils got Sergio Reguilon on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. New recruit Sofyan Amrabat, right-back Diogo Dalot and Victor Lindelof were also used to fill the void at left-back this season.

Erik ten Hag's team have several injury concerns ahead of Sunday's league game at Everton. Christian Eriksen (knee) and Rasmus Hojlund (thigh) withdrew from the Denmark squad last week and goalkeeper Andre Onana was hurt playing for Cameroon.
