A class 6 student in Kerala has become the latest social media sensation for a stunning goal he scored in an U-12 football tournament in Malappuram.

Anshid, a student of Al-Anwar UP School in Malappuram and representing Kasco Club, received a cross from teammate Hamdan the left wing inside the box. With his back towards the goal and a defender closing in, Anshid went for a cheeky back-heel flick mid-air, which ended up in the net, leaving the goalkeeper and defenders flummoxed.

His coach Imdad Kottaparamban shot a video and shared it on social media.

The clip was soon shared on the official Instagram account of the Indian Super League, captioned "The keeper didn't see that coming”, where it has garnered over 1.2 million views at the time of writing. The video of the goal was also shared by state ministers Ahamed Devarkovil and V. Sivankutty.

The goal also reminded one of the famous 'zero-angle' goal by a 10-year-old from Kozhikode, Kerala. Dani P.K., a class 5 student, scored directly from a corner, for Kerala Football Training Centre club, in the final of the All Kerala Kids Football tournament at Meenangadi in Wayanad district.

Dani, who has earned the nickname 'Lionel' Dani for his exploits with the ball, also scored a hat-trick in the match. He was adjudged player of the tournament for his 13 goals overall.
