Former India cricketer Suresh Raina, who announced his retirement from international cricket recently, posted a video on his Instagram account in memory of Sushant Singh Rajput, seeking justice for the late actor.
Using the hashtags #JusticeSSR #WeAllAreInThisTogether #FamilyNeedsJustice, Raina shared the video showing an iPad with Sushant’s picture as the song ‘Jaan Nisaar’ from the actor’s film Kedarnath played in the backdrop.
“Brother you will always be alive in our hearts, your fans miss you more than anything! I have full faith on our government & it’s leaders who will leave no stone unturned to bring you justice, you are a true inspiration! #GlobalPrayersforSSR #JusticeforSSR,” he captioned the video, while also tagging the official Instagram account of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sushant passed away on June 14. A probe into his death has been undertaken by the CBI and is ongoing.
Raina had taken to Instagram then to express his shock at Sushant’s death. “Shocked to hear about Sushant Singh Rajput. Met him several times as he spent time with us for Mahi’s biopic. We’ve lost a handsome, ever smiling actor. Om Shanti! #sushantsinghrajput,” he wrote as he shared a picture of Sushant who played M.S. Dhoni in the biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
