Close on the heels of former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni announcing retirement from international cricket, his former teammate Suresh Raina, too, called it quits.

The swashbuckling left-hander, who has been out of reckoning of the Indian team for some time now, took to Instagram to congratulate Dhoni, and also announced his retirement in the same post, which he captioned as: “It was nothing but lovely playing with you, @mahi7781 . With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you in this journey. Thank you India. Jai Hind! ”

Both Dhoni and his Chennai Super Kings teammate Raina had arrived in Chennai on Friday for a short training camp ahead of the IPL in UAE. The CSK team leaves for the UAE on August 21.
