Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma will miss the “connection of a lifetime” that their pet Bruno made in their lives as they took to social media to announce the death of their dog.

On Wednesday, the duo posted pictures of Bruno on their social media accounts to mourn the loss of their pet.

“Rest in peace my Bruno. Graced our lives with love for 11 years but made a connection of a lifetime. Gone to a better place today. God bless his soul with peace,” Viral Kohli captioned the post.

Anushka’s post simply said, “Bruno RIP”.

However, what Anushka and Virat may not have anticipated is the barrage of condolence messages their fans posted, that within a few hours ‘RIP Bruno’ became one of the top trends on Twitter.

Many, who were not aware of the dog’s passing, had a “mini heart attack” thinking the singer Bruno Mars had died. They were relieved after knowing that it was the Indian cricket captain’s dog that was trending.
