Former Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting on Sunday took to Twitter to share a picture of his ‘favourite piece of memorabilia’ he has received during his career. The image showed Ponting’s original ‘Baggy Green’ and the new Test cap given to him by Cricket Australia and his wife Rianna Jennifer Cantor after his retirement.
“This is my favourite piece of memorabilia gifted to me by Rianna and Cricket Australia when I retired. A brand new cap on the left and my pride and joy on the right, looking a bit worse for wear after about 140 odd tests,” Ponting tweeted along with the picture.

Earlier, the cricketer had also shared a picture of the Test jersey he wore during his first match as captain of the national team. The jersey had signatures and personal messages from his teammates on it.
When I captained my first Test the boys signed this shirt and left messages. I remember this Test most for the brilliant batting from @damienmartyn and @darren_lehmann in what were very tough conditions. pic.twitter.com/LpUzgxIXzp
