Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh has revealed that Sourav Ganguly has supported him more as a captain than his successors Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli.

In an interview with Sportstar, the former all-rounder said that he had more memories with Ganguly, and it’s a difficult choice between him and Dhoni as to who was the best captain.

“I have played under Sourav (Ganguly) and had a lot of support from him. Then Mahi (MS Dhoni) took over. It’s a difficult choice to make between Sourav and Mahi. I have more memories of time under Sourav because of the support he gave me. I didn’t have that kind of support from Mahi and Virat (Kohli),” Yuvraj Singh was quoted by Sportstar.

Yuvraj, who retired in June last year, had earlier said that he hurt by the treatment shown by the management when he was trying to make a comeback to the team. He last played for India in 2017 in an ODI against West Indies. He has played 40 Tests, 304 ODIs and 58 T20 internationals for the national team since his debut in 2003.

Yuvraj, who battled cancer, also played in the Indian Premier League for the Kings XI Punjab before he was shown the door in 2018.
