US President Donald Trump may have wooed the crowd at the new Motera Stadium during the Namaste Trump event on Monday, but many were miffed by his incorrect pronunciation of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's name. Trump referred to the master blaster as “Soo-chin Tendulkar”.

Some were amused by Trump's reference to cricket and even trolled the US president for mispronouncing the name of one of the most popular and iconic personalities in India. The International Cricket Council and Iceland Cricket didn't miss a beat when it came to trolling the president.

The ICC's Twitter account put out a mock video of them changing Tendulkar's name on their database as Soo-chin Tendulkar. The ICC captioned it “Sach-Such-Satch-Sutch-Sooch Anyone know?”

Iceland Cricket also jumped on the bandwagon, comparing the names of Tendulkar and skipper Virat Kohli to that of popular Chinese dishes found in India.

“Fair play to Trump. Soo Chin Ten Dool Ka and Vee Raat Ko Li are the most popular Chinese dishes in India. It was nice of him to learn the exact Cantonese,” the Twitter account of Iceland Cricket tweeted.

Meanwhile, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen also took to Twitter to tweet about Trump's pronunciation of Tendulkar's name, at the same time tagging British writer and TV personality Piers Morgan to ask Trump “to do some research in pronouncing legends names”.

“FFS, @piersmorgan, pls ask your mate to do some research in pronouncing legends names?!,” Pietersen tweeted.
