From handling social media trolls—mostly because of her marriage to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik—with class, to making a winning comeback at the Hobart International last month, Sania Mirza has been an inspiration for all.

Mirza was out of competitive game for more than two years—first, an injury break in late 2017, followed by the pregnancy break. She followed in the footsteps of Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka, who returned to the tennis court after childbirth. It was a dream comeback, really, winning the doubles title at Hobart with Nadiia Kichenok.

She had been working hard for her comeback, as evident from the workout videos she had been posting on Instagram.

Mirza once again took to Instagram today to share a 'before and after' picture, to show her transformation after the childbirth. “89 kilos vs 63, we all have goals.. everyday goals and long term goals .. take pride in each one of those .. it took me 4 months to achieve this goal of mine, to get back to being healthy and fit after having a baby .. feels like such a long way. to come back and regain fitness and being able to compete at the highest level again .. Follow your dreams. No matter how many ppl tell you , you can’t 😉 cause God knows how many of those we have around us. If I can then anyone can #believe #mummahustles,” she wrote while sharing the picture.

Mirza's son Izhaan was born on October 30, 2018.

Mirza has won six Grand Slam doubles titles, and was world number 1 in doubles rankings in 2015. She remains the only Indian woman to have broken into the top-30 in singles.
