La Liga champions Barcelona take on Borussia Dortmund in an action-packed clash on Tuesday. It has been four years since Barcelona last won the Champions League and the way they exited in the previous two editions was a hard pill to swallow. Coach Ernesto Valverde hinted that Lionel Messi could make a comeback in the opener. Messi who has missed the beginning of the season due to a calf injury, has been named in the squad but it is still unclear whether he will play.

Sixteen-year-old Ansu Fati could see his Champions League debut. Fati has been playing exceptionally well for Barcelona and could be called to play ahead of Messi. Should he feature in today's opener against Dortmund, he would become the youngest ever Champions League debutant. Barcelona are yet to win a game away from home this season and have already conceded six goals in four games.

Lucien Favre's Borussia Dortmund are in fine form this season. They have won three of their four games and are in second position currently in the Bundesliga. Paco Alcacer will face off against his former club and is also in fine form this season. He has scored in every game for Dortmund this season. Dortmund will also look to build on the experience of captain Marco Reus and the attacking capabilities of Jordan Sancho. The match will start at 12.30 am (IST) on Wednesday.
