India's star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is likely to miss the second Test against West Indies on Friday.
Ashwin was absent during Team India's training session ahead of the second Test against the West Indies in Jamaica. The ace spinner was left out of the team in the first Test in Antigua despite having a great record against the Caribbean side.
In case Ashwin does not find a place in the playing XI, Ravindra Jadeja is likely to replace him considering his all-round performance in the first Test.
Ashwin has played in 11 matches against the West Indies, picking up 60 wickets at an average of 21.85 and a strike rate of 46.2. In the last series India played against West Indies in 2016, Ashwin took 17 wickets and was also adjudged the Man of the Series.
India are ahead 1-0 in the two-match Test series in their West Indies tour. The visitors won the first Test by 318 runs and are runaway favourites going into the second and final match at the Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica.
