Actress Priyanka Chopra and India cricket team captain Virat Kohli are the only two Indians who made it to the Instagram 'Rich List' for 2019 published by Hopperhq.com. Kohli is the only cricketer among the top 10 in the list for sports 2019.
Celebrities are ranked on the list based on the amount they charge for every promotional post made available online through their respective profiles on the photo-sharing app.
With 43.3 million followers on Instagram, Chopra is at the 19th position on the list as she earns $271,000 or Rs 1.86 crore from every promotional post on her account. Kohli, with 38.2 million followers is at the 23rd position, and charges $196,000 or Rs 1.35 crore for every promotional post.
Chopra also uses her Instagram account to promote her activities as the UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
Reality TV star Kylie Jenner, with 141 million followers, leads the overall list. She earns $1,266,000 per promotional post.
Kohli is ranked ninth in the list for sportspersons and is ahead of Barcelona forward Luis Suarez, UFC great Conor McGregor, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah and boxing great Floyd Mayweather. Juventus and Portugal superstar footballer Cristiano Ronaldo leads the pack, and is third in the overall list.
Kohli, who is among the most-followed cricketers in the sport, is also the only cricketer in Forbes list of world's highest-paid athletes for 2019. Kohli is estimated to earn $21 million from endorsements and $4 million from salary and winnings, taking his total tally to $25 million for the last 12 months.
