New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to bat first against India in their World Cup semifinal in Manchester on Tuesday.

India have made one change in their playing XI. Yuzvendra Chahal will come in place of Kuldeep Yadav.

New Zealand would be glad top welcome a fit-again Lockie Ferguson who will replace Tim Southee in their line-up.

India captain Virat Kohli, vice-captain Rohit Sharma and K.L. Rahul have been among the runs. India's top-order is in great shape, however, the same cannot be said for the middle-order. New Zealand could unsettle the Indians by getting the top-order out quickly.

If Trent Boult and the rest of the bowling attack strike at crucial points, New Zealand has a good chance to take control of the match and ensure their spot in the final.

Squads:

India: K.L. Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli (captain), Rishabh Pant, M.S. Dhoni (wicket-keeper), Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah

New Zealand: Martin Guptill, Henry Nicholls, Kane Williamson (captain), Ross Taylor, Tom Latham (wicket-keeper), James Neesham, Colin de Grandhomme, Mitchell Santner, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Trent Boult.
