Elon Musk rolls out Grok Imagine, new in-app AI video-image generator for X: How to get into waitlist

If you are an AI aficionado and have not yet updated your X app, now is the right time. According to billionaire Elon Musk, the new update will let you get into the waitlist for a new AI tool, the Grok Imagine.

“Update your 𝕏 app and request to be on the waitlist for @Grok Imagine,” Elon Musk posted on Saturday, referencing a video of a user using Grok’s in-app image and video generation capabilities.

This is the latest from xAI, the sister concern of the social media platform X, reserved exclusively for AI-LLM development.

What is Grok Imagine?

Grok Imagine is a new feature built into the X app that will let users generate images and videos instantly from text prompts, with real-time capabilities to refine the results.

Earlier, Grok offered image generation through its independent app and model, and the chat feature. But according to the AI chatbot itself, “Grok Imagine is a new in-app feature for instant images/videos with real-time refinements—no wait times or separate tools.”

How to join the Grok Imagine waitlist?

Step 1 is always to update the X app. Then, head to ‘Settings’.

There, you will see the ‘Grok’ tab. Inside, there is the option to request access under the ‘Imagine’ tab.

After sharing the video of Grok Imagine in action, Elon Musk followed it up with, “And then you can turn that image into a video with sound in under 30 seconds. Less time than it takes others to draw a single image.”
